Invitations for your party!

Posted on May 31, 2015

We try to make Game Truck events as easy as possible to organise and run, and part of this is simplifying the process of inviting your guests. I get lots of questions about how this works so I thought I’d explain it all in detail here.

The most popular option is to use our customisable template, as below:

The customisable invitation for GTA parties: click the image to download.

The customisable invitation for GTA parties: click the image to download.

The process to use this template is relatively simple:

  1. Download your own copy of the template by clicking here. The link should take you to a Dropbox file where you can click ‘Download’ and ‘Direct Download’ like this:
You need to download your own copy to the invitation to customise it

You need to download your own copy of the invitation to customise it

  2. Find your own version of the invitation (probably in your ‘downloads’ folder), open it, and fill out the details electronically in the fields provided in whatever format you prefer. (I recommend double-checking your invoice to make sure we’re all on the same page!)
  3. Save, email, print, or otherwise distribute the invitations so everyone knows they are invited to the party of the year!

That’s it. It’s very important to download your own copy of the file (remember, click here) as the one on Dropbox isn’t directly editable. The template includes my name and contact details in case any of your guests have any questions.

The other option isn’t so popular but might suit some people; it involves creating a Facebook event for your party and inviting guests directly to that event. This might work well if you and your guests all use Facebook; it’s a great way to remind people, get communications out there about pickup times etc.; and finally it’s a fun way to share photos or comments about the party. I can make the event completely private so only those you invite know about it; and you can have total control over inviting and posting on the event. If you’d like to explore this option let me know via email and I can put it all in motion.

All this is free of charge, included in the cost of your party; it’s just another way we create epic events that stick in the memory.

With those two options I hope there is a convenient way for you to make the invitation process as easy as possible. Do you have any ideas for how else I could help out with your party invitations? If so, comment below!
